Tons of food, history, and shopping; we visited here quite a few times for cute dates and just to take a stroll. This downtown is just down the road from where we will be getting wed. Great park that features a sensory garden, boardwalk, concession building, and a stage area that hosts free performances in season. The Jazz in the Park series on summer Thursday nights is especially popular.
If you like to dabble into history - The Robert Allen house was originally built on Broad Street by Robert Allen. His son-in-law George Hance Patterson, moved it to its current location in 1905. The fine Second Empire style residence was converted to retail use in 1971.
This waterfront park is a splendid place to picnic and watch the river. During the summer, kids go crabbing here. The park also hosts concerts and festivals.
Nice boardwalk and downtown to explore; there are plenty of food and drinks downtown! Bri and Greg had many great dates here and really enjoy the nightlife. During the day, there are great beaches to soak up the sun and go for a swim.
