For two people who like to keep things the old fashioned way, it is most fitting that we met in the most organic way possible… Tinder. So, maybe not the MOST organic way but it is where our love story starts. Two right swipes led us right to each other. Gabe, of course, had to see if Emily could match his fun energy, so he opened up with a little Finish the Lyric game. The country songs caught Emily’s attention and that set the tone for the fun-filled relationship that would soon unravel. Of course we had to meet right before the most wonderful time of the year… duck season. From September to December we spent every second of our busy days talking about everything under the sun and of course playing many many iMessage games until our first official date on December 14, 2022. Our first date was a sweet evening walk through all of the Christmas lights on Candy Cane Lane, and a dinner date to follow. Our hearts were full and we were hooked. The months to follow we fell in love over breakfast and dinner dates, trips to mountains (and beach and anywhere else we could manage to squeeze in), at home dinner dates, and our hunting dates. Which leads us right to our engagement… February 17, 2024. It’s the last day of hunting season, so we’re up at the trailer for our last time that season. What Emily thought was going to be another day hunting with friends, turned out to be a surprise engagement surrounded by friends and, of course, geese. That wasn’t the end of it though. Gabe had the rest of Emily’s close friends and family waiting at a fully decorated trailer to celebrate. Now… we have the rest of our lives to continue writing this crazy, fun love story.
