Dearest loved ones: We're just a couple months away from "the big day," and any of you who have been through this know that it's a wonderfully exciting (and rather hectic) experience! We wanted to share a few updates and some teasers. A few changes worth highlighting: Updates to the COVID policy: Our wedding and all Hartwick properties will be mask-friendly. Our venue, Hartwick College, is still requiring all visitors who can be vaccinated to have at least one booster if they are eligible. They are also requiring us to collect an exemption form from anyone who is not vaccinated. RSVPs: There are a few more weeks to let us know if you are able to join us! If you know you can't make it, we look forward to celebrating with you another time! Please kindly decline through the RSVP tab above (on a mobile device, click the three solid bars in the upper left corner) or reach out to let us know. We have limited seating and a lot of loved ones we were not able to invite. If you are still trying to decide, we understand! Let us know how we can help. Accommodations: Our biggest announcement is that Hartwick College is now accepting credit cards for payments on The Apartments. Please check out "Travel & Accommodations" tab to book an apartment on-campus. If you're more interested in staying at a hotel, please contact the hotel directly to book! Our blocks close in early May. Maybe you're more interested in some of the fun stuff: Attire! Please feel free to wear your best Sunday brunch outfits! The venue is indoors, but there will be plenty of outdoor space to enjoy if the weather cooperates! Our colors are blush and bashful . . . umm, I mean, our colors are cornflower blue, lavender, and light gray. Please feel free to dress in other shades. The bar! We will start serving Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Coffee after the ceremony. We are opening a tab at the bar after we wrap up brunch. Once we tap out on our tab, the bar will change over to a cash bar. The DJ! We're excited to have DJ Frankie taking care of our reception dance party! To our favorite people: We’ve decided it’s time! Our suits have arrived, the menu is finalized, and the details are becoming clear. Invitations are in the mail, the photographer is primed, and our special musical guest is warming up his guitar. There is still much planning to finish in the coming months, but there are some details worth sharing. To prioritize everyone's health and safety, and in accordance with our venue’s policies, all of our guests who are able to be vaccinated should be vaccinated against COVID-19. For those of you who are not vaccinated, please reach out to us directly for updated requirements set by Hartwick College. Email notifications containing updates will go out closer to the wedding. We understand that variants continue to evolve, as does information on best practices to prevent the spread. At this time, Hartwick College is requiring indoor masking. Even so, we understand that you may still be uncomfortable gathering. We respect your choice to join us in-person or in-spirit. We hope you and yours are staying healthy and well. We’re looking forward to sharing space with those of you who are able to attend, sharing hugs with those of you who are hugging, and celebrating with all of you who support us in growing as we go.
