Jill and Rob initially met in the spring of 2014, where they were both part of the same professional business fraternity. A few months later, after consulting with a few trusted advisors that Rob would be a fun date (aka was willing to dance on tables), Jill decided to ask him to her sorority formal. They hit it off that night, kept in touch over the summer, and officially started dating in the fall of 2014. The new couple spent the fall semester getting to know each other and figuring out how to navigate an upcoming 6-month (very) long distance relationship when Rob studied abroad in Sydney, Australia. Thankfully they decided to give it a go, despite being separated by 16 time zones and almost 9,500 miles. After Rob returned from Australia, they had 6 short months together before embarking on another 30 months of long distance, as Jill studied abroad in Santiago, Chile and Rob joined Teach For America in Phoenix, AZ. Rob moved back to Charlotte, NC in the summer of 2018 (where Jill lived and Rob is from originally), and they have enjoyed being together and going on adventures around the globe ever since. Rob proposed in January 2021 and the newly engaged couple immediately started planning their wedding. Both Jill and Rob are incredibly excited to host their big day surrounded by loved ones, both friends and family, and cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!
