I have found the one whom my soul loves.

On February 4th, Grant and I matched on the dating app, Hinge. It had been a long search and I was extremely excited to see the long awaited "You've found a match!" message pop up on my phone. Being the southern gentleman that he is, Grant initiated our very first conversation, commenting on the fact that I like to two-step and mentioning that he would be more than happy to learn from me. So, on February 10th, we went on our first date to Billy Bob's Texas, a well-known dance hall here in downtown Fort Worth. Grant was a natural lead and a fast learner, and I don't think either one of us stopped smiling that entire night. As quickly as I could, I deleted the app - I knew my search was over. A week later, on February 18th, we officially started dating and I've been falling head over boots for him ever since!

This weekend was a busy one! Grant's parents were coming into town to meet my parents for the first time and to attend a grad school dinner for Grant. Both of my sisters were coming for a visit to celebrate our brother's birthday. Our house was full and the weekend was packed, and I was so busy enjoying everyone being together that I completely missed all the clues that Grant was getting ready to propose! We went out to downtown Fort Worth on Saturday night, after his grad school event, and met my sisters there to walk around for a bit, shop, and take some photos together. Soon, they casually steered me towards my favorite street in the Stockyards, where the Drover Hotel is located, and I still remained blissfully oblivious! After taking few pictures of my sister and her boyfriend in front of this gorgeous hotel, she asked if Grant and I wanted any pictures. Clueless, I stood there grinning next to Grant and was caught completely by surprise when he took a step away to get down on one knee. After catching my breath (and saying yes!), Grant and I enjoyed drinks and dessert at the hotel's restaurant, and came home to a house full of family that night to celebrate!
