Grant & Megan grew up in Mequon, WI. Being 5 years apart, they never were in school together. Fortunately, they were both friends with the same family, so they got to know each other. A few years had passed; Grant attended Northern Michigan University and worked in Marquette post-graduation. He eventually moved back to WI. At that time, Megan was in school at the University of Minnesota. After consistently talking for a few weeks, Grant decided to make a trip to visit Megan. After a fun weekend, they knew they wanted to keep seeing each other. After becoming “official” and dating for 8 months, they started to realize long-distance relationships are hard and maybe they weren’t cut out for it. They decided to call things off because Megan wasn’t ready to move back to Wisconsin. Come May of 2016, Megan graduated and was working in Minneapolis. This was when they both had the realization that they still had very strong feelings for one another. After a very long, late night discussion, they knew there was a reason they couldn’t get each other out of their minds. Cue the second round of long-distance. After a year, Megan and Grant found a cute duplex for rent in Grafton, WI and decided to pull the trigger. May of 2017, they moved in together and lived two happy years before buying a house in Cedarburg. A few months flew by, and before they knew it they were on vacation in Mexico. This is where Megan thought “it” would happen. When vacation came to a close and there was no ring to be had, she was optimistic in thinking “maybe it’ll happen during next years vacation”. WRONG. A week later they hosted a BBQ for both of their families. Much to Megan’s surprise, this was “it”! They were taking a picture in front of their house when Grant was getting very sweaty, and Megan could hear a crackle in his voice. He said “do you know how much I love you?” and Megan instantly started crying, knowing what was about to happen. Grant got down on one knee and proposed!
