Graham and I met on a dating app in July of 2022 and went on our first date on July 13th at Giada’s in Kernersville, because Graham loves Italian food. It was the best first date that lasted 4 hours and ended with us being the last two people in the restaurant not even noticing they were closing. We continued our date in the parking lot with lots of talking, laughs, and plans to go on another date in a few days. I remember talking to my mom on the way home, because she was worried and had called me many times. She said, “Who has a 4 hour first date?,” and I said, “It was a really good first date.” On our third date we met at the Fourth of July Park and walked and talked for hours. This is the exact same place where Graham proposed a little over 5 months later. We are excited to begin a new chapter together and share it with everyone on September 16th!
We first met on Bumble. For our friends and relatives over the age of 30, Bumble is a dating app where the girl has to message the guy first in order for them to "match" (begin a conversation). When Taylor saw how handsome, interesting and handsome Graham was she couldn't help but swipe right (can you tell who wrote this yet?). We exchanged texts on the app getting to know one another for a week or so before we decided to meet in person for dinner at Giadas Trattoria in Kernersville. We enjoyed each other's company so much that we talked for hours and ended up being the last people in the restaurant and didn't realize they had closed for the night before we even paid our bill. It was so late by the time we left that Taylor's mom, Dawn, had texted and called her multiple times to make sure everything was OK because "who spends 4 hours at dinner???". We didn't know it at the time, but those 4 hours were the beginning of our story together. We've spent countless hours with each other since then and have loved every second, and on September 16th a new chapter will be added to our story. We can't wait to share it with you all!
