There are tons of great shops and restaurants on Main Street in Falmouth. If you're looking to bring some souvenirs home, grab a bite, or enjoy a nice stroll, Main Street is a great place to go.
Irish pub on the main drag of Falmouth (Main St). Food/bar snacks are delish (chowder, fried pickles, burgers). Phil Martin got a Smithwicks on tap here that he claims was the one of the best beers of his life.
Ice cream and candy shop on main street in Falmouth. Best ice cream on the cape. Be warned - sizes are larger than advertised! If you're feeling daring, try the lobster ice cream..
Mexican restaurant on Main Street. Delicious tacos and margaritas!
Scientifically, the best lobster rolls are always the ones you eat at a picnic table from a shack on the side of the road. Eating a lobster roll is a requirement while in Massachusetts (according to Liam), but we'd recommend checking the post-labor day market price first :).
Beautiful public beach with a view of Martha's Vineyard. Watch out for sharks (seriously).
Paved bike path that hugs the coast from Falmouth to Woods Hole and then beyond to North Falmouth. Bikes available to reserve if you're staying at the Coonamessett Inn!
Island Queen Ferry is a 35-minute ferry ride to the island of Martha's Vineyard. The ferry dock is walking distance from the Coonamessett or the Holiday Inn. The Highline Ferry goes out of Woods Hole and can also take you to Nantucket, but it's a longer trip.
Local brewery with great outdoor area.
Local winery with a large outdoor seating space. Food trucks available for lunch and dinner.
Classic greasy spoon diner. Tons of gluten free options! This is a long-time Grady family favorite (although Amanda's dad prefers Mary Ellen's Portuguese Bakery) .
Woods hole is a cozy town center about 15 minutes from Falmouth. This is where the Oceanic Institute is and where many of the ferries to the islands depart from. Landfall and captain kidd are our favorite restaurants in the area.
Iconic cape cod restaurant 15 minute drive from Falmouth. Amazing seafood, great atmosphere, and right on the water! One of our favorite places for an elevated seafood meal.
