A mutual friend set us all to work together on an extra credit project for AP Microeconomics senior year of high school. We worked together on the project for hours, and couldn't stop laughing while working on the project.
Dalton slid into the DMs in typical high school fashion. Began to talk more in classes at school and text.
Dalton asked... I said yes, to be his girlfriend.
Dalton showed up to the door of the house later that month. A day we both "coincidentally" didn't make it to school and propsed for Prom. Highlight of this story is my dad opened the door with Dalton standing outside with his poster and promptly shut the door, turning to me saying, "Grace, I think the door is for you."
Dalton and Grace walked across the stage together to graduate from Freedom High School. Go Pats!
Graduating together again! College Edition. Dalton graduated with his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and Grace with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. No walking at ceremonies due to Covid.
Over a year later.... USF finally let us walk and gave us the ceremony we deserved! Two graduations together.
Christmas Eve. Dalton really pulled out all the ideas for this one. My wooded path behind my house to the church. After Christmas Eve church, a walk to find a perfect walk down memory lane Dalton had set up for me, complete with twinkling light, photos from the past 5 and a half years together, flowers and hearts on the ground. Set up the perfect proposal and of course I said ... YES!
The title explains this one itself! We bought a house and are very excited to be moving down South a bit to the Bradenton area! Ground has broken and it should be completed around April (being hopeful and praying timing is all in God's plan)!
From High School, Through College and to life beyond!
Our big day, to say I do for forever.
