Sam and Grace first met at work in Nashville, TN. While they didn't work much together at first due to opposite schedules, Sam often found himself lingering later for Grace to arrive. In fact, during one of Grace's first live music events she coordinated, Sam let it slip to a coworker that he may or may not have developed a crush. Fast forward a few months to COVID times, when Sam and Grace no longer saw each other daily. Though everyone was staying home, he still managed to call most days just to say hi. Once they both got back to work, they began to work almost every day together. Soon, Sam took Grace to dinner to celebrate at 5th & Taylor, a restaurant Sam used to be a chef at and where good friends were still working. Even after receiving the royal treatment and a fabulous meal, Sam still couldn't fess up... until the next day. A couple of weeks later, after helping a friend cater a wedding, the two stole away for a sunset picnic where they shared their favorite songs, a glass of wine, and of course, a kiss. Soon after, they became inseparable...

After being invited to a fabulous wedding in Kerala, India, the two knew this was the opportunity to take the trip of a lifetime. After opening a restaurant and working tirelessly together, nothing could sound better than a couple of weeks of traveling. When they began planning, Sam mentioned the Maldives had always been a bucket list trip for him, and he believed it was close to Kerala. Well, in fact, he was right! After spending a week in Kerala exploring, dancing, and celebrating with friends, Sam and Grace flew to the Maldives for some much needed R&R. Little to Grace's knowledge, Sam had been traveling with a very special package the whole time. Over a beautiful dinner overlooking the ocean, Sam nervously asked a nearby table to record a special moment. Sam proposed, and well, Grace cried ( and said yes, of course!). They spent the rest of the week celebrating, snorkeling, sunbathing, and enjoying each other's company.
