One of our favorite hikes in Honolulu! Not for the faint of heart as the trail is made entirely of stairs from start to finish. You'll feel super accomplished once you've made it to the top and be rewarded with spectacular views. It takes roughly 30-40 minutes to ascend.
One of Justin's favorite destinations in Hawaii when he was a kid. A pristine marine ecosystem that offers visitors an amazing place to snorkel and explore the diverse wildlife that inhabit the area. Open to the public Wednesdays through Sundays, with entry allowed from 6:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Reservations required two days in advance and sell out fast (also has limited walk ins).
We loved this hike for its stunning panoramic views of Honolulu and the coastal island. It's a short but steep 0.8 mile hike to the summit of Diamond Head, a crater formed from a volcanic eruption 300,000 years ago.
Justin's favorite mall in the world. A lush, open-air oasis filled with swaying palm trees and vibrant tropical blooms. It's a shopper’s paradise but also a great place to walk around even if you aren’t looking to spend.
We highly recommend taking a road trip or day tour to North Shore (along the northern coast of Oahu). Places to go include: Waimea Falls, Waimea Bay Beach, snorkeling at Shark's Cove, Ted’s Bakery, Matsumoto Shave Ice, Ry’s Poke Shack, Polynesian Cultural Center, and more!
A trip to Hawaii would not be complete without attending a Luau. A lūʻau is a traditional Hawaiian party or feast that is usually accompanied by entertainment. Although we have not attended any luaus together, we researched the best ones for you: Polynesian Cultural Center, Chief's Luau, Toa Luau, and Nutridge Luau
Hawaii is the birthplace of Poke so it is a must have (multiple times)! There are so many great options but Grace and I recommend these places the most: Ono's Seafood, Fresh Catch, Tamura's, Off the Hook Poke, Maguro Brothers, and Foodland!
Grace met Justin's extended family here for the first time and it was an unforgettable memory. This restaurant offers excellent fine dining paired with breathtaking views of Waikiki. Highly recommend to go right before sunset!
A popular seafood restaurant that Justin and his family frequented many times. Super popular, casual waterside hub showcasing locally sourced seafood & dishes mixing French & Hawaiian styles.
