Jing and Grace met in UTAR through Christian Fellowship (CF) in 2015. Our first encounter when Jing, in his second year was collecting fees from Grace, a freshman, for the Christian Fellowship Captain Ball event. Which we ended up getting 1st runner up, by the way! We got to know each other through the Captain Ball event and grew closer through the numerous other events that we had in UTAR CF. As we continued through university life, we somehow got scheduled to serve in the worship team regularly and were happily serving the Lord together. With our group of friends we would always hang out at the mamak after CF and eventually our group started going on trips together! Sadly, when Jing graduated, we didn't talk as much and slowly started to drift apart. Fast forward to 2022, Jing randomly replied to Grace's Instagram story, and that's when we decided to just set a date and finally meet up again after so many years. We hit it off again. It was like talking to your best friend; although so many years had passed, we talked like we had just seen each other yesterday and quickly arranged our next meetup. We kept on meeting up from then, and sooner rather than later, Jing finally asked Grace to be his girlfriend. Two years down the road, on our Kota Kinabalu trip, after climbing Mt. Kinabalu, Jing proposed to Grace on Mantanani Island, in Sabah.
