Orlando/Tampa Traffic

This is just a note to our out of state guest, or those who live in Florida but like to keep to our area of North Port/Venice. The Orlando and Tampa traffic can be CRAZY! For those coming from Rhode Island imagine rush hour in the heart of Providence but it is 24/7, that is Orlando/ Tampa Traffic, since our wedding site is right in between Tampa and Orlando the traffic may be significantly bad! Please keep this in mind when traveling and making hotel reservations.

Orlando Airport (MCO)

Orlando airport is a great airport and only 36 miles away from Polk City, This airport has many dining options as well as ton of fun things to do in Orlando such as International Drive however, if your looking for cheaper flight typically Tampa (TPA) is the way to go.

Tampa Airport (TPA)

Tampa Airport is significantly smaller then Orlando and can be cheaper as well. Tampa airport is a bit farther then Orlando at 45.8 miles from Polk City. However there are still many fun activities to do in Tampa such as the Tampa Aquarium and going to the Port of Tampa to tour an aircraft carrier. My personal favorite is spending 5 hours at Ikea but not buying anything ( Giorgio dislikes this )
