Ben and Ashley first met in high school, when Ashley was new to the school district. With many mutual friends, they grew a close friendship very quickly and on NYE 2009 at 11:11pm, Ben asked Ashley to be his girlfriend. Thirteen years' worth of school dances, sports meets, graduations, new careers, and travels together later, we are *finally* getting married!

On November 27, 2020, Ben and Ashley went to a local Christmas tree farm. When Ben kneeled down with his saw to cut down the tree, he turned around with a ring in his hand!
