From Interview to Wedding Day

Jess and Zach met on a day they both thought would be relatively normal. Jess had a job interview she was confident in, and Zach started the workday like any other. They were paired to share time during the interview where Zach was supposed to talk about the culture and work life of the role. Despite Zach’s hardest attempt to come off as professional and buttoned up, Jess’s engaging personality and infectious smile made him drop his guard and explore the chemistry they felt, leading to a friendly and joking banter. Zach was thrilled to hear that Jess was extended the job and she was starting in a week or two, because the 10-15 minute banter, the small talk that wasn’t, and the chemistry they discovered stuck with him. Once Jess and Zach started working together, the chemistry quickly blossomed into a great friendship. They sat next to each other and Jess took this time to get to know Zach. He didn’t necessarily know at the time that their extended lunches, sitting in the company parking lot eating chick-fil-a and exchanging song recommendations were by Jess’s design to know him deeper, that she had started falling for Zach, or where the extra time together would lead them today. Long lunches led to happy hours after work, led to dinner with friends while the spark was kindling. A point in their relationship both Zach and Jess consider significant actually happened apart from each other, not together! Summer of 2018, Zach and a few friends took a 2 week vacation to trounce Europe with backpacks (and no sunscreen). Jess missed Zach when she was at work and Zach sent photos and texted her as often as possible to keep in touch and make sure she knew he was thinking of her. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, as they say! Coming home from the trip, Zach and Jess were anxious to see each other and made plans with friends to eat brunch at one of our favorite spots in Dallas. It's still unknown if it was planned by our friends or not, but no one showed up! The couple calls this the “Accidental Date”. They were able to catch up and make up the lost time for the two weeks that felt like an eternity away from each other. After the accidental date, Zach and Jess really caught on to the feelings they had developed for each other and started planning more opportunities to spend time together. A trip to Austin City Limits, that turned into a romantic escape to the hill country. A trip to Fayetteville to see the Hogs play, that led to the first ‘I love you’s’, and a ski trip where Jess discovered her passion for the mountains that the couple shares. 2018 was the year they fell in love and they capped the year by meeting each other’s families they are now joining in marriage. Zach and Jess hold their friends and family very dearly and cherish every memory they have made not only themselves, but with you. Holidays with Family, Friendsgivings, trips to Atlanta and Sedona, almost sinking pontoon boats on Lake Travis, birding through the M-Streets, sitting in the Avana-Knox fountain, Zach dragging Jess on roadtrips in uncomfortable sportscars and kayak picnicking on the paddling creek, to name a few. Zach and Jess are falling in love deeper together everyday and are so excited to continue the journey they have laid the foundation for so far. They thank you for all of the love and support you’ve given them through the year, and let’s get these two lovers married.
