Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking in downtown Salisbury. Given we are inviting the entire St. John's congregation to our wedding ceremony, parking may be limited by the church. Please see the map above for areas to park. The Meroney Theater is a 5 minute (0.2 mi) walk from St. John's (an enjoyable walk through our beautiful Bell Tower Green Park).

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, we have decided to make our private dinner reception an adult only affair. We respectfully request no children under 16 at the reception. However, all are welcome at the ceremony and open reception at the church.

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Yes, the private reception will end at 10:30 and we will likely walk over to Go Burrito to have a few more drinks and keep the party going :)

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Unfortunately Air Bnb's are limited in the area. Courtyard Marriott has a spacious lobby space to hang out or relax. It does not have a complimentary breakfast like Home2 suites and Hilton, but there is a Starbucks in the lobby and Dunkin Donuts in walking distance.

Why are there two receptions?

Answer

We knew from the start that St. John's would be a great fit and the past 1.5 years have been a blessing. We have decided to invite the St. John's congregation to celebrate with us! We expect to have several hundred members in attendance. The open reception (at the church) will be for all and the private reception (Meroney Theater) is for close friends and family only.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are still working out all the details, but it is unlikely that we will provide transportation. Please note that Ubers/Lyfts are limited in this area (you can probably still order a ride but it will take longer to come!)

We've tried to include Plus Ones for most of our guests but if it is unclear, please reach out and ask!
