Things To Do & See

There is no shortage of activities and sights to do and see in Vermont, so we hope you take advantage of the long weekend to explore our beautiful new home!
Ben & Jerry’s Factory

Ben & Jerry’s Factory

1281 Waterbury-Stowe Road, Waterbury Village Historic District, VT 05676

The quirky ice cream brand you know and love is made right here in Vermont! Take a tour of the factory or just go to see the "Flavor Graveyard" & pay a visit to your favorite flavors that have been laid to rest

Shelburne Farms

Shelburne Farms

1611 Harbor Rd, Shelburne, VT 05482

This is the first place we visited together in Vermont on our road trip in the fall of 2022, months before we ever considered moving here. Now, Lindsey works at a sourdough bread bakery on Shelburne Farms! We highly recommend taking a day trip here (45 min drive from Stowe) to walk the trails of the farm and catch the epic views of Lake Champlain, visit the bakery where Linds works, pet the animals, and marvel at the gorgeous historical buildings on the land.

Bingham Falls

Bingham Falls

6524-6892 Mountain Rd, Stowe, VT 05672

A short and easy hike leads you to one of Vermont's most beautiful falls

Von Trapp Brewing at Trapp Family Lodge

Von Trapp Brewing at Trapp Family Lodge

1333 Luce Hill Rd, Stowe, VT 05672

The family that inspired The Sound of Music relocated from Austria to right here in Vermont. After visiting the historic lodge and scenic property you can sip on Austrian-style brews and take in the views!

Cold Hollow Cider Mill

Cold Hollow Cider Mill

3600 Waterbury-Stowe Rd, Waterbury Center, VT 05677

Part cidery, part Vermont gift shop, and part restaurant -take a self-guided tour through the mill, taste cider and donuts, wander the gift shop, and just enjoy this quintessentially Vermont spot!

Stowe Recreation Path

Stowe Recreation Path

The Stowe Recreation Path starts in Stowe Village (park in the lot behind Stowe Community Church) and heads up the mountain, ending at Top Notch Resort. The path is 5.3 miles (one-way), and there are numerous spots to hop on or off along the route!

Cabot Creamery Store

Cabot Creamery Store

Stock up on a few blocks of Cabot cheddar to bring home! Not only do they have a huge selection of Vermont cheese, they’ve got all kinds of specialty foods, craft beers, local ciders, and international wines too

For all the days along the way
