In the months leading up to the event, make sure to check your mailbox because we will be sending out formal invitations. However, all RSVP’s will take place on this site; no need to remember to send anything back.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Although we love children, our wedding will only be for adults, with the exception of our son, nieces and nephews.

Question

What do I do for food if I have food allergies/sensitivities?

Answer

Don’t worry! We have a spot on our RSVP page dedicated to the dinner menu. You will be able to signify if you have a specific food concern and our venue will do what they can to accommodate. *Cocktail Hour will also have food items that are dairy free, as the Bride is as well.*

If you are staying at The Palms Hotel & Spa, overnight valet parking is available. It is $45/night plus tax. For any events at the hotel, daily valet parking (not overnight) is available for $29. There is a plethora of street parking spots available with an hourly fee.

Question

Do we have to book our hotel room on property?

Answer

We would love to have everyone stay with us, but we know, for a variety of reasons, that isn’t always feasible. There is an “accommodations” section that lists several hotels in the vicinity as additional options.

Question

Is there a room block available?

Answer

There is not a room block secured, as we prefer that our guests stay where they are most comfortable. However, for those of you that decide to stay at our venue, check-in is at 4pm, so we have been advised that you should not check-in on the day of the ceremony. They cannot ensure you will have access to your room before that time.

Question

Where is the Ceremony?

Answer

It will be outside at The Palms Hotel & Spa Gazebo.

Question

Where is Cocktail Hour and the Reception?

Answer

Cocktail Hour will be at the Grand Tiki. The Reception will be held in the ballrooms.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a guest?

Answer

The venue locations we have chosen limit the number of individuals we can accommodate. Therefore, if your invitation notated a plus one, then you are more than welcome. For those of you that do not show that designation, we truly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Question

What type of food will be served?

Answer

We will have several options for our guests to choose from, but all options will have a Hispanic/Cuban flare.

Question

Will I need money for the bar?

Answer

As a thank you, and sign of our appreciation, for our guests traveling to Miami, we will be having an open bar. Shots are not permitted, nor is outside alcohol. We ask that all of our guests abide by the parameters put in place by our venue.

Question

What if I don’t drink alcohol?

Answer

Not a problem at all! Rest assured there will be alternatives for our family members, and guests, that prefer to abstain from alcohol.

Question

What time should guests arrive at the wedding ceremony?

Answer

To ensure our festivities start on time (promptly at 5:30pm), we kindly ask that guests arrive 20-30 minutes early. If you are not staying on property, please account for parking when determining your timeline for the evening.

Question

Will there be a time gap between the wedding Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Reception?

Answer

There will not be downtime between the events. Once the Ceremony is over, our guests will be escorted, by Property Personnel, to the Cocktail Hour, and again to the Reception.

Question

Are guests allowed to take photos during the Ceremony?

Answer

Our guests are more than welcome to take photos, but we do ask that those photos do not interfere with the Ceremony or our amazing photography team! There will be a moment where guests will be instructed to take the pictures they would like, as well as formal instruction as to when it should become an unplugged Ceremony.

Question

Is there a wedding hashtag guests should use?

Answer

We would love if our guests used #ohFISHallygodwin for any social media posts. This will help us ensure we see all the moments we may miss.

Question

Will there be a “Bride and Groom’s side” at the Ceremony?

Answer

No! We are ecstatic to finally join our lives together. The only thing we ask is that guests move all the way to the open chair instead of sitting in the middle of a row. Not only will this help keep all of our guests safe, but will also allow our guests to find a seat efficiently.

Question

Where should guests check for the most up to date information about the Wedding?

Answer

We will update this website! So make sure to check back in the months leading up to the event…we don’t imagine any changes, but sometimes a tweak or two needs to happen.

Question

Who should guests contact on the big day for any questions?

Answer

Questions are bound to pop up, but we ask to please refrain from contacting anyone in the wedding party, as well as immediate family. All questions can be directed to our wonderful Coordinator and she will ensure you are well taken care of.
