South Park Beach
This is a park and beach that my grandparents used to take me frequently. It still as the kiddy slide and the big kids slide and diving boards. Robin and I went here for our first 4th of July together. We had a blast. He must have dove from the high board at least 20 times in a row! I kept to the low board! Haha! 5 miles from the Crystal River Inn – 3 miles from the Appletree and ½ mile from GreenFountain Inn
The RedMill
The RedMill is super charming and a place I’ve frequented on many occasions. Its unique structure and gift shop give you beautiful views of the river. It has a covered bridge and tiny chapel in the back along the river. Take a walk, grab lunch or ice cream and peruse this hystorical place! Located just up the road from the Inn – about 6 miles
Brainards Bridge Park
Another pretty park! About 6 miles from the Crystal River Inn
Ding’s Dock
A place to rent boats, take a canoe trip or tubing trip down the Crystal River About 6 miles from the Inn
Indian Crossings Casino (not a gambling casino)
Live bands throughout the summer. You never know who’ll be performing here. Great dance floor and patio overlooking the chain of lakes.
Hartman Creek State Park
This is a great park with its own beach. Also great for walking/biking/picnics. This is 4 miles away from the Crystal River Inn and about 8 miles away from the other Inn’s and Hotel – maybe an 8 min drive!
Hutchinson House Museum
Historical House Museum. On the same grounds as SouthPark Beach

Clearwater Harbor Boat Cruises
Tour the lakes on the Chief of Waupaca. Super cool steam boat that tours all 7 lakes. Its about a 2 hour boat ride. Highly recommend if you can reserve a time. It’s a nice experience.

Wheel House
This was my first job – I was a busser at this place. Still a cool place and always packed. They have a nautical feel. There pizza is super popular. They also have sandwiches – people like the beef and meatball sandwiches and other things. Great bar. Patrons shoot dollar bills on the ceiling as well. Nice indoor and outdoor seating.
Little Fat Gretchens
Great place for breakfast/lunch and desserts. Everything is scratch made. Love her pies!
Chef Chu’s Chinese Restaurant
Probably the best Chinese in town. Eat in, order out and they offer a daily buffet.
Green Fountain Inn
Great place for Lunch and Dinner. Everything’s made from scratch. Bakery made every day and is different everday.
