The zoo can be fun for everyone (yes they serve beer). Rated in the top 5 zoos in the country they house animals of all species, and have a recently renovated aquarium. The Toledo Mud Hens are a professional Minor League Baseball, their stadium is one of the nicest minor league stadiums in the country. Tickets are usually around $8 with various (free&paid) parking available. The games are fun for all ages, and we are in luck...the Hens are home Thursday 6/6/2019 thru Sunday 6/9/2019!

The Toledo Museum of Art is an internationally known art museum that houses a collection of more than 30,000 objects. The museum was founded by Toledo glassmaker Edward Drummond Libbey in 1901. They have great exhibits that are changing monthly. HOURS: Tuesday-Sunday 10am-9pm Admission and parking are free

The Toledo Farmer's Market will be open Saturday, June 8th from 8am-2pm, and admission and parking are FREE! This will be your best spot to experience local goods, and food. Expect a wide variety of local, seasonal produce from farms within 30 miles of Toledo. Products from local bakers and artisans are Jennette's favorite. These include coffee, croissants, DONUTS, bread, cookies, brownies, tea, salsa, maple syrup and honey. You can also find other handmade products such as soap, jewelry, bath bombs, and more. If you're lucky you might stumble across a food truck or 2 at the market!

Imagination Station, Toledo’s Science Center, is dedicated to making science, technology, engineering and mathematics fun and accessible. There are hundreds of interactive, hands-on exhibits that are fun and educational for the entire family. We personally think it is geared more towards the young-ins but it would be up to you to decide. HOURS - Tuesday-Saturday: 10am-5pm Sunday: noon-5pm ADMISSION PARKING - There is not a dedicated lot, but you will find quite a few options ranging from $5-up ADULTS - $12 CHILDREN (3-11) - $10 SENIORS - $11 UNDER 3 YEARS - FREE

If you want to go on a run or a walk and be amazed, you MUST go to Oak Openings or one of the other Toledo Metroparks. The park we listed (Oak Openings) is hands down our favorite park in the area. They have trails of all different distances, surfaces, and purposes...they even have a nice 14 mile mountain bike trail. The website is a great resource with park maps, and trail distances. Don't be surprised if you find Jennette here hours before the wedding.

A museum for plants, Toledo Botanical Garden offers visitors the opportunity to share, discover and enjoy nature’s beauty. With more than 60 acres of display gardens and relevant plant collections. Check their webiste for information on events such as local jazz performers during their summer concert series, and educational, hands-on plant exploration and pioneer living activities for children.

If you're looking for a nice walk along the water, a neat park, a good restaurant, or an unforgettable bar hopping experience, you've got to check out Downton Toledo. It's slow and steady revival started about 10 years ago, and it is in full effect now. Find awesome bands, beers, and adventures on any night of the week all within walking distance of each other. There are quite a few parking options (free or paid) or take an Uber for around $30 round trip. Also if you go downtown check out DORA (https://www.downtowntoledo.org/dora/) - basically you can drink while walking from bar to bar...total WIN! If you find yourselves wanting company downtown, let us know!
