What is the difference between the nigerian traditional and the wedding ceremony and reception?

The Nigerian Traditional ceremony, happening on Friday, August 30 at the Crest Hollow Country Club, promises an immersive cultural experience filled with delectable cuisine, vibrant traditional attire, spirited dancing, and lavish gestures from the groom. It's a celebration steeped in rich Nigerian tradition and customs. Following this, the wedding ceremony and reception will take place on September 1, 2024, at the Bourne Mansion, marking the culmination of our joyous festivities.

Can I bring a plus one/guest?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on our wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, it will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

What time should I arrive to the wedding ceremony on sunday?

Answer

The wedding ceremony is set to commence promptly at 3:00 PM EST. We kindly request your presence 20-30 minutes before the scheduled start time. This will allow ample time for parking, finding your seat, and ensuring you don't miss any part of the ceremony. Your punctuality will be greatly appreciated!

Hotels sure are expensive! How can I cut down on costs?

To help manage expenses, we encourage guests to consider sharing accommodations with one or more attendees. We're more than happy to assist in pairing you with a suitable roommate. For more details or to express your interest, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

What is the dress code?

Answer

For the Friday and Sunday events, The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. The color of the day for the Friday Nigerian Engagement ceremony is gold. Be sure to wear something gold or gold accessories. We invite you to embrace the spirit of celebration, as you'll be dazzled by the elaborate and elegant attire of the Nigerian guests. In essence, leaning towards dressing up rather than down might just enhance your experience. We encourage you to err on the side of over-dressed, ensuring you feel as splendid as the occasion itself. For the Saturday day party, dress attire is white.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

On September 1, a shuttle will transport 56 guests from the Melville Marriott to the Bourne Mansion. It will also return guests to the Melville Marriott at 9 PM after the reception. This service operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so please plan alternative transportation if needed.
