Guests are encouraged to RSVP as soon as they receive their save the date, offering them the convenience of securing their spot early. We will strictly enforce RSVPs, which can be conveniently submitted via the wedding website. There are five separate events that guests can RSVP to. If no RSVP is received by the deadline, those invites will be marked as not attending, and there will not be any accommodations for those individuals on the day of. Only the guests listed on each event invitation are invited. Each venue has a strict number of people allowed, which restricts who and how many people we can invite. The deadline for all RSVPs is September 1st, 2024; we have to give all our vendors official numbers, so anyone not accounted for in those numbers on the deadline will be politely marked as not attending.
Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to limited seating. We hope you are able to join us for a "date night" and enjoy a relaxed evening with friends and family!
Ceremony: The ceremony will be held at Clark State Forest (near Louisville, KY); there will be a shuttle for guests to transport everyone from the bottom parking lot to the ceremony site. We recommend shoes you are 1000& comfortable with. *Please check back here closer to the wedding date to sign up for your shuttle timeslot. All Other Events: All other events will be held at Merry Ledges in the Woods (a 45-minute commute from where the wedding ceremony will be held).
Each event has an outlined dress code, so be sure to look at the description to get a better idea of the dress codes for each event. As a general rule of thumb, please wear nothing blue, white, or cream-colored.
We will be hosting an open bar with a tip jar for people who want to tip their bartender! There will be alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including mocktails!
This will be an unplugged wedding ceremony, which will be strictly enforced. Guests are invited to take photos during other portions of the wedding weekend; however, the couple asks that all guests respect their no social media preferences (please do not upload any pictures from the wedding weekend onto social media). There will be a place for guests to upload photos to share with the couple (which they really hope you do, lol).
Caked Up: Everyone who knows and loves the couple knows that they LOVE a good competition, especially when there is a clear winner among them. In that spirit, the couple will be hosting a cake smash competition that they would love their guests to help them with. During the wedding reception, there will be two jars, one with Glenda's face and one with Weston's. Guests are invited to place cash inside the jar of who they want to see get caked in the face. At the end of the night, the person with the most money in their jar will get caked in the face by their new Wife/Husband. For those who miss the event live and in action, a video will be recorded and posted on the wedding website so everyone can enjoy it; LOL. All proceeds will go towards helping the couple have the honeymoon of their dreams, and everyone knows Glenda LOVES to dream BIG, even if that means she takes some cake to the face, LOL! Cigar Lounge: The couple will have a mobile cigar lounge at their wedding! For those individuals who like to partake in such activities, the couple invites them to bring along their favorite cigars to enjoy with the couple. Cigars will also be available for purchase.
