The mad lads finally did it...

I know this may surprise you but Giselle and I met online. Although we can't remember the exact date, 2014 was the start of something special. We met on a website named "GaiaOnline", a popular website for dorks such as ourselves. An ex-friend of ours brought us together, believe it or not. Despite us not talking to this friend anymore, I thank them for introducing me to what would eventually be the love of my life. I have always felt like Giselle and I had an instant connection. Unlike most other people, Giselle seemed more mature to me than most women her age, at the time. On top of that, we shared many of the same interests, so a friendship was bound to bloom. Little by little, Giselle and I started hanging out separately from the group. That led the two of us to become closer and closer until we grew to have a crush on the other. Now, the two of us were cautious about taking the next step and I was dating someone else at the time. Luckily, our feelings never subsided. After a few unsuccessful relationships on my end, I was flying solo for a while until I finally noticed Giselle's feelings for me near the end of 2019. After admitting my feelings to her, she instantly reciprocated. Now, before we made anything official, she took the chance to really consider both of our feelings. If she had grown to simply see me as a friend after the surprise of me confessing to her washed away, she didn't want to hurt me by misinterpreting how she was feeling. I was patient, of course, because I wanted to do this right. She only had me wait about a week - two weeks later when she told me she really felt the same about me for sure. On December 4th, 2019, she and I started dating. Almost a year later, on November 29th, 2020, I proposed to her. I am thankful for every day we spend together as it brings us even closer. I love Giselle so much and I can't wait for her to be my wife next year. ❤️
