Perfect Timing

From Junior High...to Happily Ever After.

Ryan and I met at Nicollet Junior High, circa 1995. We were friends throughout junior high and high school. A few years after high school, Ryan relocated to Chicago for a job. Ryan's parents still live in Burnsville, so he would come home to visit. We reunited at a mutual friend's wedding 11 years ago and have kept in touch ever since. Fast forward to Thanksgiving weekend in 2022, when we went out to dinner and go-karting, just as friends, like we had all the times before. Except this time it was different. We hugged goodbye and said, "Maybe we will see each other around Christmas, if time permits." Long story short, we began to talk and FaceTime every day for three weeks. Ryan ventured back home to Minnesota the weekend before Christmas, and we went to dinner in Stillwater and then to Sam's Christmas Village. It was there that we found ourselves falling in love with one other, under all the magical Christmas lights. Talk about a Hallmark story! On NYE weekend, we were supposed to go to South Carolina so that Ryan could get my best friend, Cara's, stamp of approval, but then I became sick so we decided to go to Duluth instead. While in Duluth we talked about marriage. I told Ryan "If I ever get married, I want it to be on NYE so that people have something fun to do!" On 2-3-2023, I visited Ryan in Chicago for the weekend. It was there, that he proposed and asked me to marry him! Ironically, it was in front of the "Married With Children" fountain! So, here we are. Our hope is that you help us celebrate our love and have the BEST NYE yet! We look forward to celebrating with all of you! XOXO, G & R
