We can't wait to celebrate with you!

We first met towards the end of January in 2022 and experienced an almost immediate connection. Daniel was preparing to leave for a six-month deployment on an aircraft carrier in August, and because of his various training trips (and living over 80 miles apart) we learned to make the most of our time together. We spent quality time with friends and family over the summer. It was so hard to say goodbye in August. We didn’t want the summer to end. Thankfully we were able to email back and forth while Daniel was away, and again made the most of what we had. In November, we had the opportunity to reunite in Germany one weekend where we drank German beer, toured ancient Roman ruins, and visited the beautiful country of Luxembourg. In February of 2023, after Daniel finished his deployment, we met again in Switzerland for a week. Highlights include getting kicked out of first class on the train, paragliding through the Lauterbrunnen Valley, and visiting the filming location of James Bond's "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". After returning from our travels we continued getting to know one another through bike rides, runs, camping, hiking, and spending time at the beach. On August 5, 2023, during a camping trip to False Cape State Park, we were sitting side by side on a boat dock just as the sun was setting when Daniel turned, got on one knee, and proposed. And yes, he was careful not to drop the ring into the water :) We are excited to begin our marriage and to finally live in the same town, and we sincerely look forward to sharing our day with friends and family we greatly love. We hope to throw a party you will remember!
