Ginna was out for a night on the town. She and her friends made their way to the State Room, La Crosse's favorite college bar. When she walked in, a handsome guy that resembled Super Man started walking towards her. He was in an Eagle's Nest softball jersey and had just played a game. He said his name was Sam. The first thing out of his mouth was, "Hey! You're that girl on TV!" Ginna was embarrassed-- she hadn't been recognized in public before. But she wanted to keep talking to the cute guy in the glasses. But before long, the guy Ginna was kinda-sorta seeing walked in and that was that. Sam and Ginna parted ways. She didn't think she'd see "Super Sam" again. But she told her friend just how cute she thought Sam was. Well, a month or so passed. Ginna broke things off with the other guy. She was back out for night with friends and so naturally, they made a pit stop at good ol' State Room. Who was the first person she saw?! CLARK KENT SUPER SAM! With a little liquid courage to boost her confidence-- she b-lined it for Sam and struck up conversation. He couldn't remember her name but he remembered her! After that, the two were inseparable. Their first date was a softball game at Shelby Park where she got to meet all his friends. About year into their relationship, Sam told Ginna something he'd never shared with anyone. He had noticed her before that first night. Sam and his dad Greg always watched the news together. When Greg saw Ginna on TV for the first time, he asked who's the cute new girl? Sam said, "If I ever see her out, I'm going to ask her out." Sam's dad passed away in April, just 4 months before Sam and Ginna met. They both know he played a part in bringing the two of them together.
