Will there be an after party?

Answer

Yes. We will continue to rage and hope family and friends can join! (Fun fact: We first met post-bar in September 2017 at 2:00 am on the docks of Newport so our wedding night will not be any different.) The after-party is at One Pelham East. There will be live music and possibly a cover. Shuttles will be provided. See the "Hotel Block/Shuttle" tab for more information on bus times. Otherwise, guests staying at the hotel block can take the shuttle back to the hotel at 11:30 pm. *This is not a formal or hosted event.*

What is the best way to get to Newport, RI?

Answer

From Long Island, you have the option to take the ferry. You can take the Cross Sound Car Ferry (https://www.longislandferry.com/) from Orient Point, NY which takes you to New London, CT. The ferry is a little over an hour and Newport is about an hour drive from New London. From NJ, it is about a 3.5 - 4 hour drive. If taking AMTRAK, the nearest train station to Newport is Kingston, RI. The nearest airport to Newport is Providence (PVD) Airport which is 17.6 miles away.

What is the dress code?

Summer Cocktail Attire/Newport Classy Chic (Images of inspiration can be seen above!) For our summer wedding, our ceremony and reception will be held outdoors in a tent. We suggest that men wear a lightweight suit or sports jacket and women wear a cocktail/semi-formal dress. Note: Our ceremony and cocktail hour is on a dock. Ladies, please plan shoes accordingly! Chunky heels are encouraged! Stiletto heels are not recommended!

Can I bring a guest?

Due to the size of the ceremony tent and reception tent, we are unable to accommodate additional guests not addressed on invitations. Thank you for understanding!

Yes, please see travel for more information. PLEASE NOTE - If you there are no more room blocks left, please contact Mary, Jerry, Lisa, Bob, Gina or Paul and we can add more!

What Time Should I Arrive At The Ceremony?

We would like to invite guests to arrive at Regatta Place by 5:00pm for the ceremony. We will begin promptly at 5:30pm!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! For those staying at Howard Johnson by Wyndham, please plan to hop on the yellow school bus. The bus will arrive at 4:30 and leave the hotel at 4:45. For any guests who opt to stay in nearby Airbnbs, we recommend calling an Uber or using a local taxi service. If you stay in Newport, there are Pedi-cabs that are free that can likely take you from downtown Newport to the wedding. You can schedule a Pedi-cab at http://www.newportpedicab.com/groups-events or call 401-432-5498. You can also take a water taxi over!

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes, complimentary valet parking is provided.

Can I drive to the wedding and leave my vehicle in the lot overnight?

Answer

You sure can. It is free. You can leave your keys with the staff and their office opens at 9 am the following morning.
