Carmel Beach - Located at the foot of Ocean Avenue, this is a great beach walkable from the shops and restaurants in Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Asilomar State Beach - a narrow, one-mile strip of sandy beach and rocky coves.

Beaches

Point Lobos State Natural Reserve - Beautiful views of the coast. Trails are fairly easy to moderate. 

Palo Corona Regional Park - Recommend taking the trail to inspiration point where (on a clear day) you can see ocean views.

Garland Regional Regional Park - If you are looking for something a bit more strenuous there are a variety of trails.
