Matt and Giana have traveled in the same circles growing up, casually knowing of each other and occasionally passing each other at high school events and parties. Like most, they both went off to college, where they lived out the time of their lives. Little did they know, the summers at home would eventually connect them with their soul mate. Initially meeting one night in the ever-so-popular "God's basement" (a.k.a. Parker House), Matt and Giana connected and instantly hit it off. Knowing they were returning to their college lives in August, they did not keep in much contact. After Matt and Giana caught up over Thanksgiving break at another ever-so-popular "watering hole" (a.k.a. Shore House), they knew there was something special between them. They continued to casually sneak in a Snapchat to each other here and there while away at college. Following Giana's senior year and Matt's "super" senior year, Giana could not wait to see Matt out. Little did she know, he felt the same way. Finally, one late Friday night at the beginning of summer 2015 at the good ole Belmar Boathouse, Giana ran into Matt. They both locked eyes for a moment across the bar. Giana got nervous and turned to her girlfriends that she was with and explained to them who that special guy across the bar was. Giana's best friend and now maid of honor, Jordan, swiftly turned around and said, "You have been waiting all summer to see him. YOU BETTER go up to him!" With a little push of confidence from her best friend, Giana approached Matt. Matt quickly pushed the girls that he was speaking with to the side, and all eyes were on Giana. Little did she know, Matt was also nervous and needed a quick bathroom break to get himself together. The night was everything they both dreamed it would be, dancing together to the wee hours of the morning. Since then, Giana and Matt have been inseparable. They spent the rest of the summer getting to know each other and became official on August 16, 2015. The rest is history!
