We met eleven years ago on Easter weekend in front of Smith Hall at Florida State University. We decided to go to All Saints for coffee and everything just clicked. From our love for animals to silly TV shows - we ended up talking all night. A few days later we went on our first official date and fell in love somewhere between a cheesy horror movie and chocolate chip pancakes at IHOP. It was the beginning of a magical love story!

The proposal happened at Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando, Florida. Ashley is a huge fan of horror AND Lucille Ball, so Gerard knew that the perfect proposal would need to incorporate both! The moment we arrived at the park, Gerard insisted that we visit the I Love Lucy Museum. I knew that the museum was always closed at night, but he was adamant that we absolutely had to go and check it out. When we got there the museum was completely empty, but he insisted that it was still open and practically dragged me through the door. We were looking around at the exhibits when Gerard grabbed an employee and asked for a picture. He told me to pick my favorite mural for the backdrop and while posing for the picture, Gerard dropped to one knee and pulled out a ring. Turns out - he had been working with the museum staff to set up the entire thing and the "picture" was actually a video of our engagement!

We decided to elope to Savannah, Georgia after our wedding was rescheduled. We were married on Halloween under a blue moon and the day was absolutely magical! Though we've already taken one trip down the aisle, we can't wait to do it all again and celebrate with our family and friends!
