OAKLAND/SAN FRANCISCO TO MONTEREY

Both Oakland (OAK) and San Francisco Airport (SFO) are about 100 miles north of Monterey and will most likely offer the lowest plane fares. If you don't mind the two hour drive, you can opt to carpool, rent a car or grab the Airbus to Monterey.

SAN JOSE TO MONTEREY

San Jose (SJC) is only 75 miles up the 101 from Monterey and is a very convenient airport. You can usually find reasonable air fares and it is easy to rent a car or grab the air shuttle.

Monterey Airport

Monterey (MRY) is the local airport and only minutes from downtown Monterey. This is a small airport so flight times are limited and more expensive, but if it works with your schedule and budget, this is hands down the most convenient option.

Monterey is known for its small town charm and is an easy to get around. Most places are walking distance or a short Uber ride away.
