Michael and Georgie became friends in 2018 through the Bullard High marching band. Michael had finally built up the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend at the Stockton marching band competition in Oct 2019 and Georgie said….. “let me think about it”. Michael was confused as there had been constant flirting for months, but did not stop trying. A few weeks later, he asked again. Georgie responded “I don’t know, let me pray about it”. Which is exactly what she did. She would go on walks, asking the Lord if this was His will and if it would be good for the both of them. Although she had “rejected” him twice, they still talked about going to the Winter Formal together. Michael had spent hours making her a "Promposal" sign the night before. Nov 15, he asked two important questions; will you go to the formal with me, and will you be my girlfriend. The first question was an immediate ‘yes’ from Georgie, but the second… Once again, she responded, “let me pray about it”. Later that day the two went out to lunch with some other friends, and on the way to the car Georgie said, “You know that question you asked me? The answer is yes”. She finally was his girlfriend! Or so she thought. After a great night of playing in the pep band football game, Michael went up to Georgie again, asking her to be his girlfriend. Georgie was obviously confused as she thought she had confirmed with him hours before. Turns out, Michael didn’t know that Georgie was saying ‘yes’ to being his girlfriend, and went those hours at the football game thinking they weren’t together. Georgie had thought they were boyfriend and girlfriend the entire night. After a good laugh they realized how unique their situation was. They only had a few months before 2020 hit and they had to limit their contact with one another, and soon after, Michael went off to BYU. After being long distance for almost their entire relationship, they are ready to start their lives together!
