We met each other through our Communications class in 5th grade at Jenks East Intermediate. We were friends and worked in the same group in class, but it wasn't until we both started serving together at Life.Church South Tulsa a few years later that our relationship began to form. Over the next 5 years we became closer attending concerts together, Junior Homecoming, leadership conventions through church, and serving together weekly.
While Mason was working out of town in Hochatown, OK it was his turn to cover weekend work meaning he wouldn't be able to drive home that weekend, so I loaded up the dogs and made the 3.5 hour drive to stay the weekend in Hochatown. Kody West was playing a concert at the Hochatown Saloon that Friday night, which might have been the selling point in convincing me to make the drive. After Mason finished up at work on Saturday, we planned to go on a hike through beavers Bend State Park, little did I know, Mason had already scouted the trail out and found the perfect waterfall and hired a professional photographer to capture the moment. Once we made it to the waterfall, these two photographers just so happened to be in the perfect place for us to ask them to snap a photo of us on Mason's phone. Next thing I knew, I looked over, and Mason was down on one knee and just like that we were engaged.
