She was new to Boston and he was newly single--they had both decided to give Hinge a try. They matched in the summer and her friends gave her the confidence to send him a text to see if he'd like to get coffee before church the following week. Their first date was bright and early (just like their engagement). They met at Starbucks on Newbury Street and afterwards attended his church where they sang one of her favorite songs from when she was a kid, 'How Great is our God'. Little did she know, he had bought a new shirt for their date that day, and wore the same shirt a year later when he proposed. She did not in fact wear the same outfit as she had no clue he was proposing.
They were in Paris celebrating a year of being together and had planned to take a day-trip to Versailles. He insisted on arriving in the Versailles Gardens very early that morning and she reluctantly agreed. They arrived at the center of the gardens (after many detours by an oblivious Georgia) where there was an inconspicuous man taking pictures of the scenery. Caleb asked if the man would not mind taking their photo. She, again obliviously, fixed her hair while he maneuvered the ring box into his back pocket. They took a few pictures, after which he pulled her back and began telling her how much he loved her. He then reached into his pocket, got on one knee, and she started crying. She immediately said "YES"! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
