The former mansion of James Deering is a must see attraction featuring sprawling gardens, magnificent vistas, and preserved interior. Accessible by car (approximately 7-8 minutes) or bike (approximately 20 minutes) from Coconut Grove. Allow 90 minutes- 2 hours including travel. We would recommend purchasing tickets in advance.
Our favorite beach in Miami with clean water directly next to the historic Bill Baggs lighthouse. Take in the crystal ocean of Biscayne Bay or access a network of trails throughout the park. Afterwards enjoy some fried shrimp at Boaters Grill or a mojito at the Cleat.
Coconut Grove's walking mall is newly revamped with opportunities for shopaholics or foodies. Immediately surrounding Cocowalk is the charming Downtown Coconut Grove neighborhood. Some of our favorite spots are Bodega, Barracuda, and Books & Books.
The Wynwood Walls is an outdoor art gallery featuring the best trends in street art. It is so explosive and imaginative that many of the exhibits spill out of the museum onto the streets of Wynwood itself. Take walk through, grab a photo or two, then head to Coyo Taco (George's favorite restaurant in Miami) up the street for quesadillas and passion fruit margaritas.
