Hike Haystack Mountain!
This is a stunning hike with 360 degree views of Pawlet VT and Granville NY. You can see the Adk's, Killington Peak, and Bromley mountain. It takes no more than 2.5 hours round trip. It is a little steep! Park at the parking area at the intersection of Tunket Rd and Waite Hill Rd. Walk from parking spot up Tunket Rd. Trailhead will be on your left after .5 miles 4.1 Miles round trip 1,010 ft elevation gain
Scenic Dorset Hollow Walk
Park at the intersection of Upper Hollow Rd and Lower Hollow Rd. These two roads create an incredibly scenic 5 mile walking loop. Combination of dirt and paved road.
Walking and Sunrise/Sunset Viewing at Myrck Forest Farmland Preserve
Walk from parking towards the farm center (down the dirt road from parking area) for incredible views towards the Adirondacks and incredible sunsets! Lots of walking roads and trails. Also baby pigs, lambs and other farm animals!
Cutler Park Walking Trails and Refreshing Mettawee River Swimming Hole
Great spot for a dip in the cold Mettawee River, which runs directly out of the Taconic mountains just 8 miles upstream! Swimming hole is just down the trail to your right, you will see a couple benches.
