Experience Alaska’s wildlife via AWCC’s scenic 1.5-mile loop, accessible by foot, by bike, or by car, while learning about our resident wildlife via interpretive signs at each animal habitat. AWCC encourages you to visit the center with your walking shoes and camera in hand for an educational Alaskan experience to remember. The sanctuary maintains over 200 acres of spacious habitats for resident animals to feel at home displaying their natural wild behavior as education ambassadors for their species. It is common for visitors to see brown bears swimming, moose strutting, wood bison roaming, muskox playing, wolves posing, porcupines climbing, and more! General Admission Prices Adult: $20 per person Alaska Resident: $18 per person (September 1 – May 31 only. Valid Alaska ID required.) Military: $18 per person (active and retired, with US military with ID) Youth (age 5-17): $16 per person Child (age 4 and under): FREE

The Alaska SeaLife Center is the only facility in Alaska that combines a public aquarium with marine research, education, and wildlife response. While primarily dedicated to marine research and education, the nonprofit Center is the only permanent marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation facility in the state. Prices vary depending on the day. The Coastal Trail runs from downtown to Kincaid Park. This is a great way to see some beautiful scenery and get a little exercise. You can rent bikes at a few different places downtown and bike the trail, or just walk/run.
