As with any international travel destination, you will need cash on hand. Although most businesses on Green Turtle Cay have credit card systems, the Ferry and taxis on Mainland Abaco are cash only. There are no ATM's on island. There are a few ATM's in Marsh Harbor (with considerable processing fees) therefore it is best to bring with you from home. U.S. dollars are accepted everywhere in the Bahamas, and the conversion from US to Bahamian dollars is 1:1. Don't be surprised if you get a mix of Bahamian and American change back when you break a bill!

Green Turtle Cay has many beautiful beaches that you can enjoy at your leisure, with crystal clear water and beautiful sand. And coral. Everywhere. LOTS OF CORAL! We highly recommend bringing water shoes to protect your feet both in and out or the water. Sunscreen is a must especially if you are out on the water. Also, some bug spray will be handy for noseeums during dusk and dawn. You are welcome to bring your own snorkel gear, however, there is a dive store for gear rental or purchase if you prefer to pack lighter.
