The Lord's timing is truly perfect! We met for the first time towards the end of my senior year at Hardin-Simmons at a cocktail bar in Abilene; despite the fact we had already had all the same friends. It started with Gavin slyly asking me "Can you scoot over?" and the rest is history. It truly was love at first sight, and we have spent almost every day together since then.

Gavin truly pulled off the surprise of a lifetime. I thought I had planned a perfect day at the wineries to celebrate my best friend who was graduating from UTSA, when in reality there had been months of hard work planning the perfect proposal for me! I was so distracted trying to plan the perfect celebration for Kaitlyn that a proposal was not at ALL on my radar. Gavin executed his plan perfectly, and I can genuinely say I have never been more shocked and excited in my life. All of our closest family and friends were hiding waiting to celebrate with us-it was the best day ever!
