We were both living in San Jose when our paths crossed at a country bar in San Pedro Square. Regan was with a group of friends, many who attended Chico State, when they ran into Gavin and his friends, who also went to Chico State. While our friends were mingling, we were chatting it up and finding out just how much we had in common such as being born in Michigan, desire to travel, and appreciation for a good Sunday brunch. While we didn't hang out again immediately after that, we reconnected towards the end of the summer. Our dates together were mostly simple, like playing 1 on 1 at Ryland park or getting drinks at Jack Rose. The conversations were natural, full of laughter and we quickly fell in love with each other. We've been able to share some incredible moments over the last four years together - welcoming our pup Harley in to our home, buying a house, traveling to see family and meeting new nieces and nephews. We're so grateful for the love and support our friends and families have shown and we can't wait to begin our lives together!

It was a Saturday morning at the end of November, and the weather was unseasonably warm. Gavin suggested we take a trip up to wine country to enjoy one of our favorite spots - Roche Winery in Sonoma. Nothing seemed out of the norm to me at the time. In fact, I loved hearing Gavin say "It's a great day for wine tasting, we should go to Roche!". We made the drive and before we could even be seated at our table, Gavin had ordered two glasses of sparkling rose. We enjoyed the wine and wandered over to a grassy area in the vineyards that had a bench swing we could sit on and enjoy the view. We had been here before and had loved talking about a vineyard wedding one day. I have to admit, I was only half listening to Gavin when he started the proposal (the view was truly breathtaking!). But as soon as he got my attention and I realized what was happening, I could not have been happier.
