It was 2018 and dating apps were becoming, if not already, integral in modern romance. Kevin, a transplant to Seattle from Arizona and California, and Sarah, a Seattle native, found each other through all the potential matches online on Coffee Meets Bagel. Although Kevin swears they matched on Bumble first, Sarah swears they didn't (sorry, Kevin) and the opportunity for connection expired because Sarah didn't message first (Bumble's famous platform). However, fate transpired and luckily Kevin got a second chance and they then matched on Coffee Meets Bagel. Kevin made sure to take the chance to chat her and they started talking about life, books, and exchanging phone numbers. They decided to go on a first date and Kevin will tell you that Sarah had him when they were playing air hockey and she spilled her drink all over the air hockey table (because if you know Sarah, you know she's clumsy). Sarah will tell you that Kevin had her when he helped her clean up the spilled drink on the air hockey table with no hesitation. Chivalry. Flash forward to late-January 2024 housesitting and vacationing in Sequim, Washington, Kevin was dead-set on taking a trip to Hurricane Ridge, a beautiful viewpoint in Olympic National Park (picture below). Sarah loves the Peninsula and Olympic National Park but unsure why Kevin was so adamant on going to Hurricane Ridge, she helped prepare the car and look for items needed for the drive. Arriving at the view point, walking around a bit and talking and Sarah so clueless, Kevin lead them both to a private area of the viewpoint ( luckily that runner behind them ran ahead of them, took his opportunity to see the views then ran away) and spoke beautiful words on his thankfulness of the relationship and asked one of the most important questions a man can ask.
Love is patient but the couple wasn't and they exchanged vows in a private ceremony in May 2024. Kevin and Sarah shortly afterwards bought a house and moved to a cozy town in Idaho. Since Seattle was home for so long for both of them, this celebration with friends and family has even more meaning. It would mean the world to them you join in the celebration to bless the marriage and send them off with your love and support in this new chapter of their lives! We wouldn't be here without you all and we want to celebrate you and the amazing part you play in our lives!
