I was ready to find someone to date and possibly spend my life with, and being the introvert I am, I decided to try my luck with dating apps. I was honestly going to give up after awhile, but Kyle messaged me on the app, POF, I answered back and that where our story begins. We had our first date on August 14, 2019 at Scuttlebutt Brewery in Everett, WA. I can't even begin to tell you how nervous I was. Meeting up with "strangers" was something I have never done before and I almost canceled on him a few times. I pushed through and we met for dinner and I am so glad we did. We spent hours together that day, just talking and laughing, and the spark began. Like most people in a new relationship we wanted to spend all our time together. We were traveling back and forth from Everett to Mount Vernon as much as possible. While the distance was not ideal, we made it work. Nothing was going to keep us apart, not even a pandemic... When the pandemic hit, my job closed for a few months and I was furloughed, although it was tough, it allowed me to spend my time in Mount Vernon with Kyle. Since I was pretty much living with Kyle at this point, we decided to move my belongings in as well! Ha! Kyle surprised me with a puppy as an early Christmas present. Moxley was the perfect addition to our family A few month later in May (2021), I brought home another puppy, Kingston, because I am crazy and thought having two puppies was going to be so easy, haha! As my birthday approached in August, my twin sister Robyn came to visit. I was so excited because we hadn't been able to celebrate our birthday together for several years. Little did I know Kyle was planning a surprise... We went to Scuttlebutt Brewery for dinner to celebrate our birthday with friends and family. We all went for a walk on the water front after dinner and that's when it happened! Kyle got on his knee and asked me to marry him! The first word out of my mouth was "No..." Kyle likes to joke that I technically turned him down. I meant to say "No way you're not proposing right now" because I was so surprised, but all that came out was "nooo..." haha! Being surrounded by family and friends in that moment made it extra special. We decided on the date of October 22, 2022. It's been non-stop planning and we are looking forward to celebrating with you!
