Life is full of missed opportunities... times when people look back on what could have been done, or said, differently. This could have easily been one of those stories. After meeting online and instantly connecting, a missed digit of a phone number could have ended the conversation. But Nick and Garbo didn’t let that stop them because, for some reason, they knew this was something else, something special. Something that would spark on their first date, which started with a lively dinner at a restaurant a bit too “Hollywood” for both of them, to sharing a Game of Thrones beer (did you know that existed??) and talking quietly about family, growing up, and what’s important in life. They had something that could stand up to unexpected challenges like they could never imagine or expect. And something that could grow into a special love that will be shared forever.

Nick has originally planned to propose over dinner in San Diego on a weekend get away with Garbo. But it wouldn’t have been quite right without their own little ring-bearer. Instead, the morning they were leaving, Nick put a bow-tie and a ring around their cat Frank's neck (don’t worry, that ring wasn’t the real one) and brought him to the bed with bacon and crepes (with Nutella, of course). With his faithful sidekick next to him, Nick got down on his knee and asked Garbo to spend the rest of her life with him. Despite it being way too early in the morning for any of this, Garbo said YES and made Nick the happiest he had ever been. And Frank got a little bacon, so he was pretty thrilled as well.
