One of the Bride's favorite hang out spots! The Wileys and the Hanegraaffs are planning to hang out at Jocassee Valley Brewing in Salem, SC. Time and details to follow!

Devils Fork State Park

The Bride and Groom love to go on walks together! Spend some quality time in the fresh mountain air! Look up trails, hikes and waterfalls in the area and take your pic if you'd like to have a nice hike sometime during the day!

Whitewater Falls

Close and easy access for anyone. There is a paved 1/2 mile path to the viewing area or start in South Carolina at the trailhead and hike to the falls. Shortest hike is less than a mile but it is uphill to the falls. You can also start at the falls and hike down to the trailhead.

Lake Jocassee

Beautiful views, boat launch, fall color, worth a stop to see it on the way.

Oconee County

Oconee County is best known for its natural resources that contribute to outdoor adventures. The Chattooga River offers world-class whitewater rafting and fly fishing. Lake Jocassee is a 9,000-acre primitive lake surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, and lined with numerous waterfalls. The county also features hiking trails to 29 waterfalls.

Greenville is within an hour's drive from the Diakonia Retreat Center. It is a quaint place to grab a bite to eat, walk around the city, or take a walk in one of the parks. Great option for those flying into Greenville Airport to hang out before coming over to Salem!
