JFK is going to have the most flights from NYC and generally will also be the cheaper than LGA. American, Delta, and JetBlue will be the most convenient airlines.

Rental Car

San Juan Airport Car Rental

If you are looking to take any day trips while on the island, renting a car may be a good idea. There are plenty of options available from Hertz to Enterprise to Budget all located conveniently at the San Juan Airport. It would be recommended to reserve a car a little further out, as there may be pandemic related shortages.

Please be aware that taxi's mostly only take cash so have on hand. Also, only take rides that say "TAXI" and not vehicles that don't look official.

Public transit is sparse in Puerto Rico. It is not recommended that you attempt to navigate the system.

Uber

Uber is available in Puerto Rico and the most convenient way to get from place to place. ***Ubers typically pick up riders during the day in most areas in Old San Juan. If you trying to get an Uber late at night, it's easier to call one closer to the Antiguo Casino or near the cruise docking area.***
