We met for the first time at Parker's Tucker house. My friend, Madison, invited me over to watch a UGA football game at her boyfriend's house and to meet his "hot" roommate. Parker attempted to get to know me that day. I answered his questions with few words and gave him nothing. About a month later, Madison invited me back to the Tucker house for a bonfire and I actually talked to Parker this time. We went on our first date a week later at Elevation Chophouse in Kennesaw and we were both nervous wrecks. Parker probably had 2 bites of his food, but the conversation flowed so easily and was filled with laughter. From then on we never looked back! Due to Gaby's night shifts at work & the distance between us, we made the most of our time together and worked on incorporating our two large friend groups together. Our love for spending time with our friends & family brought us even closer. After a couple years of dating, we bought our house in Sandy Springs together but still hadn't embarked on our toughest test yet... the introduction of our 2 furry girls. It took a lot of trials, patience, & training. Phoebe & Kona now not only tolerate each other, they sometimes show signs of playfulness towards one another which is all we could have ever asked for. When Parker finally built up the courage to propose, he knew he wanted it to be in Gaby's favorite place - Puerto Rico. With the help of Gaby's sister, cousin & dad, Parker planned a sunset walk on the beach ending at a rooftop bar in Isla Verde. As we stepped onto the beach to start our walk, we were greeted by proposal setup (NOT ours haha) and Parker had to quickly divert Gaby's attention elsewhere to avoid awkwardness. Once we arrived to our planned destination with a photographer hiding amongst the beachgoers, he popped the question with his sweaty shirt and back pocket hanging out. We were immediately greeted by bystanders on the beach who didn't have any alcohol to offer us to celebrate so instead gave us 2 glass Cokes. Knowing the importance of friends & family being apart of our special moment, Parker organized a surprise engagement party once we returned home to Georgia. Gaby swears she had a feeling she knew it was happening but we all know she is fibbing. We couldn't have asked for a more special day filled with drinking, laughter, & embracing our love. -Parker & Gaby
