How We Met

4.24.21

I went out to celebrate my 29th birthday with some friends at Hugo’s(downtown greensburg). My friend Alan(big shoutout for this one) had a friend stopping by(Keith). I said to Alan, who’s your cute friend and why haven’t you introduced us? He laughs and oh that’s Keith. The “formal” introduction follows. He stays and hangs around, I probably traumatized him that night but the saying goes “only the strong survive”. I left my birthday celebration early(if you know me, you’re probably thinking imagine that with that an eye roll, right?). But in my defense, hear me out on this I had a horrible migraine. So, it was either an Uber or Keith, like the gentleman he is offered me a ride home. I know, don’t get in cars with strangers- but he wasn’t a stranger so to speak. Everyone out that night knew him, my friends generally hang out with good people. (Spoiler: I made it home safe). So we’re almost to my house and I asked what his name was on Facebook- he tells me his name and we were already friends on Facebook. So we continued with the rest of the contact info(Snapchat, phone numbers, ya know). And he drops me off, didn’t try any funny business(iykyk). We went on an official date a few nights later to Texas Roadhouse, ask Keith how much of the ribs he ate and why he played with the ribs with his fork the whole time. And the rest was HUGHEStory

The Proposal

6.27.23

Buckle up for this story. We decide we’re going to take a vacation- first stop Philly, second stop Wildwood, NJ, and lastly OCMD. Philly is great- I’m checking into the hotel and Keith(unbeknownst to me) was showing Levi the ring, if you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Levi- your secret is NOT safe with him. Philly trip goes great. Next stop wildwood- the most enjoyable place Keith and I have been yet. We book a speed boat dolphin tour, for 3….and again unbeknownst to me an expensive guest was tagging along(cringe right?) I find after the fact the expensive guest tagging along FALLS out of Keith’s pocket in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on the seat of the boat. I had no idea. We rode the tram car around- guess what else came with? Yep, the expensive guest. Falls out again on the seat of the tram car, I had no idea about this either. Clearly I need to work on paying attention more. The time wasn’t right for the boat, or at dinner, or on the beach. We say farewell to wildwood, and off to OCMD we go. Grab some dinner at Ropewalk(shout out for some amazing food and an amazing atmosphere). Keith says let’s get a picture with the bay in the background. So I ask the table next to us “would you mind taking a quick of us” then happily agree. After we’re done, Keith says wait one more. I’m like why? And I turn around to grab Levi again, and turn back Mr. Smooth like butter is down on one knee with the ring. I kid you not I about fainted. Shocked is an understatement. Everyone was cheering and congratulating us, the restaurant had no idea it was a happening. I said yes! With that, We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Greensburg
