Dylan and Gabriella met at UMaine in the fall of Gabriella’s senior year. He slid into her messages with a “Hi, how are you?” Gabriella thinking the conversation was boring, stopped answering. A few days later, Dylan is working at the gym front desk when Gabriella walks in, once again he slides into her messages and Gabriella decides to give him a chance. That’s when the friendship began. For the next 3 months, Dylan threw out all the stops to win Gabriella over, like, shoveling her car out after a 2 ft snowstorm on Valentine’s Day, sitting in the hospital waiting room when she got a concussion, bringing her coffee on their early morning work shifts at the gym, and so many more. Dylan never gave up on getting out of the friend zone. When Gabriella asked him to her senior spring formal that was the beginning of the love story.

It was a weekend right after Vermont received a huge snowstorm. They traveled through the snowy streets for a weekend away in Killington with their good friends, Tanner and Tori. Little did Gabriella know that Dylan had put together a plan to propose that weekend. They took a Sunday morning snowshoe hike on a trail that led to a beautiful view. The trail looked like a winter wonderland, a real life Narnia, the whole way to the top. Once they reached the top you could see a perfect view of Killington Mt and downtown. Of course Dylan and Gabriella had to get a photo together, so Tori snaps some pictures and all of a sudden Dylan turns Gabriella around and he starts to kneel. Gabriella's jaw dropped, she was in complete shock, and she's pretty sure she said “Are you joking?” Until of course he pulled out the ring. It was the most perfect moment and their best friends got to capture it all, video and photo!
