Is there a dress code for the reception?

Answer

If you're looking for a specific dress code, then "cocktail" is probably it. The groom and groomsmen will be wearing suits and ties, if that helps. This will be a mostly outdoor wedding - think garden party vibe. If you have more questions, feel free to reach out!

What’s the deal with the welcome event?

Answer

We are hosting a welcome pool party for folks that arrive on Friday at the Valley Inn! This will be a great time to come mingle and say hi after checking in and getting situated. Some light snacks will be provided and we will have beers/wine (feel free to bring your own, however hard liquor is prohibited on premise unfortunately!). The party should last from 6:45 to 9pm. There is no specific dress code but think casual, pool party/summer vibes!

Should I pack anything in particular?

Answer

Other than clothes for the welcome party and ceremony/reception, we’d recommend packing some swimming clothes (there are multiple pools and a pond in various spots in WVV). The weather should be warm but having some sweatshirts or light jackets for the evening might come in handy! Frisbees, footballs, running shoes and things of that nature might also come in handy - there are lots of fields and hiking trails around WVV, and even a disc golf course! And obviously: dancing shoes!
