They both worked at Macy's at the time, Gabiee was at the MAC Cosmetic counter and Joshua worked In the jewelry department. They had some type of starring contest going on because they would somehow always manage to lock eyes from across the store. For about a month Gabiee would joke around with her coworkers and call him her boyfriend but they never actually exchanged words. They hadn’t officially met until one day Gabiee's coworkers introduced them in the break room. They FINALLY found out each others names. A few days later Joshua brought Gabiee a cup of coffee and she was so surprised because coffee is the way to her heart. She was interested in him before but the coffee definitely broke the ice. Later that day Joshua asked her to lunch in front of Gabiee's coworkers and manager, and without hesitation they all said go! After that day they both knew that their connection was truly something special. Joshua is a romantic and Gabiee loves to make him laugh and they truly are the best of friends.

With COVID shutting the world down, and turning everyones plans to mush. Joshua decided what better place to propose than in their own home in front of both of their moms. Gabiee was so surprised that she said yes before Joshua even asked "Will you marry me?". It was the most beautiful thing to happen in a very crappy year.
